Why did Bill have to take $1.25 payoff from Chinese businesses?

Friday, October 9th, 2009

Clinton has earned $1.25 million for six speaking engagements from Chinese businesses and forums. Three of these events were hosted by a Hong Kong-based private investment firm, one by a private real estate company, another by a spirits manufacturer, and another by a group that facilitates business-leader dialogue. On several occasions, according to the Clinton Foundation website, Bill Clinton touted the benefits of an open economic relationship between American and China.

Hillary says: “As your president I will fight to keep good jobs here, and to turn this economy around.”

Isn’t that hard when her own husband is committed to trade with China?

low balled for car accident payoff?

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

I was in a pretty bad car accident about 4 or 5 months back. My car was totalled. Both air bags deployed, windshield bursted, and one of my tires even popped off! (my insurance paid off the loan, minus the depreciated value…which is about a $1000. I’m still paying that off. ugh.) I was seeing a chiropractor until about 3 weeks ago and had physical therapy on my foot and my knee. Since then I’ve had nightmares about hitting another car, and i STILL don’t drive down the street where it happened. It was very traumatic! Basically this crap is coming to a close and i’m being offered a VERY low amount. The adjuster called today and offered me $3,681.43. I say this is CRAP. I missed 3 crucial job interviews because of this and the other driver ADMITTED that it was his fault (and it was ruled in my favor on this.)

How do I get a better offer? I KNOW this accident was worth a LOT more than the $3k she’s offering. HELP!

Help on Buying a my first car?

Friday, September 18th, 2009

I’ve never bought a car form anyone before. I have $10,000 saved up already. I know I can easily payoff a car costing about $5000 or lower, but thats not what Im looking. I want to use this buy to build credit history. Im worried that the dealership will charge high interest rate. So how can I get the dealership to lower the interest rate when I make payments to the car?

Is it legal for my new mortgage company to not disclose my payoff fee unless I pay a fee?

Friday, September 18th, 2009

It is NOT my original mortgage company we signed on with 5 years ago, our mortgage was sold to this new company. instead of sending statements they have a ‘coupon book’ and we send the coupon in with our payment each month. We never get a statement (except the one at the end of the year, I assume0 and they want nto charge us a FEE to find out what’s left on our mortgage…can they legally do this, when it is NOT what we originally agreed to?isn’t this changing the terms on us, without our consent? How are we to know they are crediting our payments properly, without statements and without paying them for info (I think) we should legally get for free?
‘Expert’- your rudeness is not needed, you could share the info without being so nasty. This is my first home, my first mortgage, so i am still learning, it’s not my way of life like you.

The ammoritization schedule would be ‘off’ I would assume, as we pay extra to our princ. frequently. I am not sure how that throws it off, but not I understand what # I am looking for is indeed NOT the ‘payoff’ amount. Thank you to the other poster who explained this WITHOUT the ‘tude!

Low expectations, big payoff?

Sunday, September 13th, 2009

Have you ever purchased/rented/borrowed a game with very low expectations, or possibly been skeptical of the game for some other reason like hearsay, only to be rather impressed by the game?

Like during the life of the PS1 I remember finding “Muppets Racing” for $5 or so on clearance and purchased it on a whim thinking it would blow pretty bad but kill some time none the less, but it actually turned out to be a rather decent Mario Kart knockoff.

Discuss…
Haha @ “Get a tan”

You do see that my picture clearly shows that I have a tan (natural BTW) you fucking retard. When you run marathons and have a full time career come back with a better argument.

Which Republican scandal caused you to vote Democratic ?

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

Mark Foley homosexual pedophile scandal ?

Abramoff revolving door of payoffs for favors from senior Republicans ?

Halliburton’s No-Bid Bonanza ?

Congress run amok and the scandals of Tom DeLay ?

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia refused to recuse himself from the Cheney energy task force case, despite taking a duck-hunting trip with the vice president after the court agreed to weigh the matter.

George W. Bush, self-described “war president,” did not fulfill his National Guard duty, and Bush and his aides have made misleading statements about it.

In July 2003, administration officials disclosed the identity of Valerie Plame, a CIA operative working on counterterrorism efforts, to multiple journalists, and columnist Robert Novak made Plame’s identity public.

Would you endorse Sen. Obama for a possible $20 million payoff?

Sunday, September 6th, 2009

If that doesn’t pan out do you think Sen. Clinton will go 3rd party? The democrats jerked Sen. Joe Lieberman around and he went independant and won.
Thanks for the well thought out answers. What if she ran 3rd party and chose Cindy McKinney as a vp, a triple.
$10 million, Rage I’ll do it for a milll, who am I kidding, give me $200,000, what it’s four months and throw in the meals.
Honestly, I don’t think I could change many minds adn i don’t think she will the theory about her running in 2012 is too strong.

Check clearing the bank is funny, but that will take a while. I really don’t see it as both sides do not like the other, may be wrong.
The two Ss are on fire.

Better to request payment plan, or lump sum payoff to collectors?

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

I am waiting for my credit reports to arrive in the mail, and know there will be some bad marks on there with some outstanding debts. I am trying to rebuild my credit currently, and know it’s a long road. I don’t have credit card debt, but do have unpaid bills (hospital, cell phone, utilities, gym membership, etc).

I am planning to write letters to each bill collector, via Certified Mail requesting a “pay for delete” agreement (as I have read here numerous times)….but should I ask for a payment plan, or a smaller settlement amount? Which would look more favorable on my report for paying off the debt?

I plan to pay off the smallest amounts first, and then work my way up, rolling the amount from the small debt into the larger one. Will the bill collectors/creditors come up with a decision for a payment plan, or is that something I have to request to them in the certified letter?

Can state tax lien be removed from bureaus after a payoff?

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

State tax lien was filed on feb of 2003 for 98′ tax period.. i filled my taxes but owed them $65. I paid that amount in full after I found it on my credit in may of 2005. I got a release of tax lien letter.
Can I send that letter to the CRAs (TU and EX) for them to remove the lien on my file?
Is this the most effective way or should i combine with another doc such as withdrawal of tax line signed by a judge?
I have disputed it couple of times as incorrect, not mine blanket but its comes back verified.

I will appreciate any answers to these questions.

I am thinking about buying a new car, I know hybrid is more efficient but does it make sense?

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

i want to help out the environment by getting a hybrid, but if i get one will repairs be more expensive if something should happen to it? What about the gas payoff, i mean won’t it take years for the car to begin paying for itself. I have also heard that the only reason why people end up getting a hybrid is because they travel alot, or the have to drive a long distance to work. Could someone help me compare a gas car to aa hybrid?!
