Are there 24hr foreign currency exchange in Changi Airport?

Sunday, October 11th, 2009

My flight will arrive past 12 midnight via budget carrier. I need to change US$ into SG$. Does Changi Airport have a foreign currency exchange counter or bank? Do they operate 24 hours a day or at least operate up to 1am?
Yes, I understand it’s not good rates. I just want to change enough to pay for the fare from the airport to the hotel.
How about the budget terminal? My flight is Tiger Airways which uses the budget terminal.

Basically, are there any companies or brands that many people might think are American owned, but have been either bought out by a foreign company or are foreign?

What are some alternatives to Spanish Immersion other than going to a foreign country or watching tv?

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

I’m looking for some advice on some good alternatives to Spanish immersion other than visiting a foreign country or watching tv.

Watching tv is good for immersion although sometimes it can be difficult to follow along without having access to the dialogues or the translation. I’m looking for something a little more advanced.

Should I continue my foreign language class?

Monday, August 17th, 2009

I’m on my fourth year of Spanish, and I’m really done with the usually required 2-3 years of foreign language units that colleges require. I’m really busy outside of school and want to drop foregin language to get an early dismissal for my senior year. Yet, I feel like this will make me look bad for college admission. What’s your opinion on my situation?

Is it possible to do 4 years of the same foreign language and doing a different one on the side?

Friday, August 14th, 2009

Hey guys
I’m in 11th grade now, and I already have Spanish I and Spanish II completed.
I plan on taking Dual enrollment Spanish classes at my community college, since my school doesn’t offer anymore Spanish levels.

I plan on fulfilling a 4 year foreign language in Spanish
but is it possible that I can take a Chinese class on the side?
Because I want to learn Chinese sooo badly!

Do colleges frown down upon this?
Thanks
