How long does it take receive the check from financial aid, after you sign the award letter?

Financial aid for a college student living with parents?

I live at home with my parents and I am about to start college, but we really don’t have the money to pay for it. I really don’t want to get a loan unless i have to and i really don’t want to move out.
Is there any way for me to get financial aid while living at home?

Are schools required to send out financial aid award letters?

I have been in school for a whole quarter, and I know I have received two types of financial aid (HOPE and PELL), but I was never told how much of either of them I would be getting. I never received an award letter from the financial aid office at my school. I want to know if it is a requirement for them to send award letters, or somehow inform me on the types of financial aid I’ll be getting.

my financial aid just got approved and I applied for a loan of $1000 dollars and with the $2000 dollars im obviosly going to pay back the loan but what I wanted to know what do I do with the rest of the money that’s left? Can I use it for personal needs?Or is that money that you use for the next term?
