If in a foreign country where cutting in line is acceptable, will you do it?
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009Here a lot of crazy Arabs will ignore all signs, push away all barricades and ignore people who are in line just to cut into the front of the line. Happened to me in the bank (missed their number or didn’t get one), grocery (their reason is that they have 2-3 items) and even fastfoods (they PUSH).
If you’re in a country where this is acceptable, will you quietly and promptly fall in line and wait -OR- do it like the locals do?
Well… explaining manners to some Arabs (note, I said some not ALL) are… difficult. They don’t care and will just brush you off or say something insulting. (I’ve been here for 5 years).
When i came here, i did speak to the bank teller and fast food crews. They said if they ask them to fall in line they will react as if you slapped them in the face. ^_^
homegirl <- i just know how you feel! believe me i am tempted to do the same. but i won't get a reaction out of these people i'm sure. ^_^
