I applied for a Sallie Mae student loan and was turned down because I am unemployed. How can I become employed in the field that I have chosen if I can’t get a student loan for the schooling? I own my own home and would work if I could find a job!

My friend applied for bank loan. They gave bunch of papers. He duly filled and submitted to the bank. The bank called him and told that they will give only 60% amount and no rule for granting 100%. my friend refused to receive 60% and got back all his papers given to the bank. Now, he is served with a notice for failure of refund of loan obtained. He rushed to the bank and said that he has not received any amount and got back his papers. We don’t know about it, but there is a ledger entry in the bank and you try to remit the dues promptly. He came back with dark face and told me. i gone to bank and said that i am ready to pay the amount, and please see your loan cheque not realised, and tell me date of loan cheque. They searched..searched..and finally no such loan given. If so, why you sent notice to the person for which they pleaded for pardon. Has anyone there in such experience?
iyer a. i didn’t say about credit card stories, please go thr’ question..no urgent, whenever a question comes, think it is an examination question and go thr’ 2 or 3 times and you can understand question. if you understand the question , it is easy for you to answer. ok..

I really need a bank to give me a loan, my current bank is ussa and they haven’t given me a loan.
Basically if anyone knows of a bank that will give me a personal loan. or banks that are willing to take a risk.

Im about to open a hot dog cart vendor downtown. In order for me to start the business its going to be around 3,000. I plan to open it in March. I have all the resources and information to start my business, but the finance part. Question: Should I get a loan from a bank or get a credit card with a 3000 limit that has 0%APR for 1 year. I also own my own car, so I was wondering should I put that up for a loan at a bank. Car value 5,000. Im trying to go the smartest way possible

I need about $10,000 in next few months - which is better, taking out a 401k loan or doing a seperate bank loan… with these in mind…
401k loan - $10,000 at 5% over 3 years
Bank loan - $10,000 at 5% over 3 years

Lets compare apples to apples on this, same interest rate and same amount… what are the tax advantages or disadvantages (when i repay the 401k loan i pay it with after tax money so that is a mark against the 401k loan), short term benefits, long term benefits, credit score hit, etc…

A few weeks ago I received a letter from my bank thanking me for applying for a home equity loan… I about had a heart attack! My home is paid for and I thought my identity had been stolen.
It appears that another person had filed for a lhome equity loan and the banks loan officer picked my name from a list (that popped up on their screen) as the guys wife. Not noting the different full name, different spouse name PLUS different addresses, the bank ran a credit check on me.
When I called the bank they immediatly found the problem and canceled the whole home equity loan application.
I love my bank and the people that work there… it is a small town bank, but I was told that running a credit check lowers my credit score. Is this true? and how can I make sure that my personal information and credit score remain safe?
