i would like to put money into cd,s the bank of america wants to know the source of income, i do not want to reveal my source,or sources of income, no questions were asked when i opened account, they say the policy has changed and even if i say other, they want to know the source, this bank account has nothing to do with my income really, how can i get around this, as i do not work, perse’ is this in anyway discriminating, asking my source of income, they say it is for security purposes, which i have not argument with,but i still do not want to reveal source of income, any advice and how to get around this, thank you for any and all answers, or shoud i move away from az

You will run into this at any bank. Ever since 911, Homeland Security requires banks to report transactions over a certain dollar amount.
Why do you not want to disclose the source of the money? Is it from illegal activities?

for banking in the US , nowdays they can ask for info if thee amount is above 5000 dollars,,, its for thier reports to irs fo rlarge transactions
